We ended up spending so much time in beautiful towns Cannero and Cannobio that we never quite made it across the Italian border. In comes the train to Luino where the ferry to Cannero departs. Looking up from the lake at Cannero. We picked a random trail and hiked to a town that over looked Cannero. Halfway up we stopped and took some shots of the lake below. An old abandoned church along the trail. Bottom: Cannero Harbor Top: The town we hiked to (to the right of the peak) Gotta get a good seat in the bow! Adrian’s favorite island, Castelli di Cannero. It would have been a perfect vacation castle if it wasn’t for the stupid crane! Cannobio’s lakefront. No lack of restaurants or gelaterias here. Lakeside lunch with view of Switzerland in the background. So close! Relaxing in Cerro on our last day at the lake. Goodbye Lake Maggiore, we will be back someday! Mom x Reply Looks awesome, did you guys go swimming at all? How was the water temperature? Reply Yeah we went swimming in the evenings, pretty damn cold though. Took Adrian about 15 minutes to get all the way in! Reply Leave a Reply to Roz Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
