Cerro, Italy 5/18 – 5/22

The sun came back to us on Friday, and we made it our goal to ferry hop to Switzerland. We ended up spending so much time in beautiful towns Cannero and Cannobio that we never quite made it across the Italian border.

In comes the train to Luino where the ferry to Cannero departs.

We picked a random trail and hiked to a town that over looked Cannero. Halfway up we stopped and took some shots of the lake below.

Gotta get a good seat in the bow!

Adrian’s favorite island, Castelli di Cannero. It would have been a perfect vacation castle if it wasn’t for the stupid crane!

Cannobio’s lakefront. No lack of restaurants or gelaterias here.

Lakeside lunch with view of Switzerland in the background. So close!

Goodbye Lake Maggiore, we will be back someday!

    1. Yeah we went swimming in the evenings, pretty damn cold though. Took Adrian about 15 minutes to get all the way in!
